As the summer holidays get under way, many teachers will already be thinking about the children in their new class in September.
In my experience, the information received about each child, can differ hugely between teachers and school expectations but one thing for sure is that you will have heard something about those children who ‘stand out’ behaviourally. However, you may know little about these children’s background and experiences. Now could be a great time to learn the signs and symptoms to look out for in children who may be suffering trauma so that you can be better equipped to support them in September.
