I listened to a webinar this afternoon about building positivity through empathy. Building empathy is not about ‘walking in someone else’s shoes’ but listening, hearing and understanding previous experiences, beliefs and cultures. It got me thinking, in schools we care so much about helping every child achieve their best, do we truly listen to what they are telling us they need?
