Welcome back to all the school staff starting their Spring Term (not that it feels like spring in any part of the UK right now!)
In my other role of Child Advocate, I have the privilege of spending time with many children who have suffered trauma. Recently, I have been supporting children who have experienced death of a parent and some who have experience domestic violence.
As part of my work, I spend time talking to schools who are often grappling with how they can support these children further whilst maintaining the boundaries of their behaviour policy.
So, my question to you is; If there was one thing you could ask for to help you support trauma experienced children, what would it be?
I have a genuine interest in what schools really feel would make a difference to them. Please let me know.
