It’s International Week of Happiness At Work so – how’s your week going?
For many staff, a good week in school is one that ends with less bruises, less hair pulled, less scratches and, (personally the one I hated most)less phlegm spat on you than last week. These every day occurrences lead to feelings of incompetence, isolation, stress and illness.
Whole school Trauma Awareness and Trauma Informed Practice can change this. Not only does it create a predictable, compassionate, consistent environment for children but it can also help staff feel valued and nurtured, transforming their health and wellbeing. It works – honestly!
